Tissue World Istanbul Tradeshow and Conference 2016 – the unique addition to the global Tissue World Portfolio

To take place as a full-fledged tradeshow for the first time in Turkey, Tissue World Istanbul 2016 scheduled from 27-29 September 2016 is set to be a very unique addition to the global Tissue World portfolio. Andrea Boltho, was educated in Italy and at the Universities of London (LSE), Paris and Oxford. From 1966 to 1977 Mr. Boltho worked at the OECD’s Department of Economics and Statistics. In 1973-74 Japan Foundation Fellow at the Research Institute of the Economic Planning Agency, Tokyo. From 1977 to 2007, he was a Fellow and Tutor in Economics at Magdalen College, University of Oxford. Since 2008, Mr. Boltho is Emeritus Fellow. At various stages, he has been consultant to the World Bank, the OECD and a member of the Academic Council of the IFO Institute, Munich, as well as a Visiting Professor in various European universities. Andrea Boltho has been a Member of the Board of Finmeccanica, is a Director of Oxford Economics and has lectured on world and European economic developments to various private sector corporations, including ABB, Anglo American, Arthur Andersen, FIAT, Ericsson, Generali, IBM, KPMG, Pirelli, Siemens, Stora Enso, Volvo, etc.

Biography

Esko Uutela, was born in Finland and has worked as pulp and paper industry consultant for his whole professional career of more than 30 years. He graduated from the Helsinki School of Economics (Marketing) in 1976 and from the University of Helsinki (Faculty of Forestry) in 1979. Since 1991 he is residing in Germany. After working for almost 18 years for a large forest industry consulting company in Helsinki and Munich, Mr. Uutela decided to establish his own forest industry consulting company EU Consulting in Starnberg, close to Munich in Germany in August 1994. During the past years, EU Consulting has increasingly specialised in offering consulting services for two sectors: the tissue and recycled fibre businesses. As of March 2007, EU Consulting made a long-term consulting agreement with RISI. Currently Mr. Uutela is responsible for RISI’s tissue forecasts and market information services worldwide. Mr. Uutela has carried out numerous private client projects, as well as published regularly worldwide, comprehensive multi-client studies on tissue business developments and global recycled fibre markets.

Uutela bugün RISI’nin temizlik kağıdı sektörüne dair tahminlerinden ve dünya genelindeki pazar bilgilerinden sorumludur. Uutela sayısız özel müşteri projesi yürütmüş ayrıca temizlik kağıdı işi gelişimine ve küresel geri kazanılmış lif pazarlarına yönelik dünya genelinde, geniş kapsamlı, çok müşterili ve düzenli çalışmalar yayınlamıştır.

During his 10 solid years of educational and professional experience, Ahmed built strong knowledge of research, marketing, economics and entrepreneurship.

He mastered research in San Francisco, where he earned two Masters Degrees in International Marketing and International Business from Hult International Business School, while providing research support for start-ups in the bay-area. Not long after, Ahmed moved to Dubai and further developed his journey with research in the Middle East.

Currently, Ahmed is an analyst at Euromonitor International, where he focuses on researching the home & tech world across the Middle Eastern booming markets.

Çağlar Altunel graduated from the Ege University, Faculty of Economics and Administative Sciences. He studied in Stockholm School of Economics in Riga as an exchange student during 2008/9 school year, and graduated from the university in 2011.

He has been working in market research industry since 2012 and found chance to work and specialise on various data acquision methodologies, as he started his career in DOR Insight, which is a market research agency specialised in web-interviewing technique and continued in Ipsos and took part in internet audience measurement project and a wide range of ad-hoc projects including pricing and brand positioniong. He has been working in Euromonitor International and responsible for the country research of home & tech cluster, which also includes home care, tissue and hygiene markets since March 2014.

Çağlar Altunel 1985 yılında Adana’da doğdu. İlk öğrenimini Kayseri TED Koleji’nde tamamladı. Izmir Güzelbahçe 60. Yıl Anadolu Lisesi’ni bitirdikten hemen sonra Ege Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi’ne giriş yaptı. 2008/9 öğrenim yılını değişim öğrencisi olarak Stockholm School of Economics in Riga’da geçirdi ve 2011 yılında üniversite öğrenimini tamamladı.

Clive Butler started his career at Beloit Walmsley in 1988 shortly after graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. In 1991, he became responsible for the design of Yankees, MGs & dryers for the whole of the Beloit group. Through Beloit and Sandusky he has had increasing responsibilities on a wider range of equipment on the paper machine until he became Engineering Manager at PMT Industries. Currently he is the Product manager for Yankee Dryers at A.Celli  Paper S.p.A. responsible for all the technical and quality aspects of Yankee Dryers. He is an active member of and past chairman of the TAPPI Yankee Dryer Safety Subcommittee and has authored several peer reviewed papers for the industry.

Erdem Serkan Saatcioglu is a graduate of Istanbul Technical University with a Masters of Science Degree İn Mechanical Engineering.

Erdem joined Ipek Kagit in 1999 as Maintenance and Projects Specialist. Beside utilities applications, he has experience in maintenance of tissue production and converting lines. His background also includes project manager position. Erdem is currently Maintenance Manager in Ipek Kagit Yalova location.

Angela Knight has worked in the paper industry for over 35 years in a variety of roles including Research, Product Development, Technical support and sales. She has worked for companies such as Arjo Wiggins, James River and PIRA. For the last 26 years she has worked for Solenis (previously Ashland, Hercules) and is currently the application specialist for wet and dry Strength products for the Tissue and Towel sector. Angela holds a LRSC in Chemistry and a diploma in Marketing.
